The AIMS Power AGM Deep Cycle batteries are designed to discharge a large amount of stored current between charging sessions, with very heavy non-porous battery plates to withstand repeated discharging and charging cycles. The AIMS batteries have a different chemistry for the plate’s active paste material, and a slightly stronger electrolyte than normal, which creates a longer life in deep cycle applications with only a slight reduction in maximum power output.
Deep cycle batteries usually employ thick plates with a high-density active material to store reserve energy deep within the battery plate and release it during slow discharge. The high-density active material remains within the battery’s plate/grid structure longer, resisting the normal degradation that happens in cycling conditions.
